The primary objective of this app is to effectively visualize sailing paths to clarify potential collision scenarios. It addresses critical situations such as when you are sailing on either "starboard tack" or "port tack," highlighting strategies to avoid contact. The app focuses on four fundamental Right of Way rules:

1. When boats are on opposite tacks, the port tack boat must keep clear of starboard tack boats (Rule 10).
2. When boats are on the same tack and overlapped, the windward boat (closest to the wind) must keep clear of the leeward boat (Rule 11).
3. When boats are on the same tack and not overlapped, the boat that is astern must keep clear of the boat ahead (Rule 12).
4. When a boat is tacking, it must keep clear of boats that are not tacking (Rule 13).

These Right of Way rules are established by the International Sailing Federation (ISAF/World Sailing).
